Short, honest answers about loans, EMIs, recovery calls, credit and how we work. No jargon, no promises we can’t keep.
GETTING STARTED
Getting started
The first questions most people ask.
Yes, we can help you understand your situation and the options that may apply. Every case is different, so we start by listening.
Yes. The earlier you look at it, the more options you usually have. Tell us what's happening, and we'll help you understand where you stand.
No. Not at all.
Yes. It's free, takes about 2 minutes and has no right or wrong answers.
No. Your Debt Overview is based only on what you tell us, and it shows which parts of your situation need attention first.
No. The Overview describes your situation; it doesn't decide anything. Settlement is always your lender's decision.
LOANS & EMIS
Loans & EMIs
Missed payments, settlement and what to ask your lender.
Sometimes. It is always the lender's decision and depends on your account. We help you understand if it's worth exploring.
Late fees and interest usually add up, your lender will contact you, and missed payments are reported to credit bureaus. The sooner you look at it, the more options you usually have.
Sometimes, depending on your lender and your loan. Any change is the lender's decision. Tell us your situation and we'll help you understand what may apply.
It can, but you may pay more interest overall. A lower EMI doesn't always mean a cheaper loan.
Please pause before you do. Borrowing to repay often moves the pressure somewhere else. Talk to us first, so you can see your full picture.
No. Any change to your EMI is your lender's decision. We help you understand your options.
RECOVERY
Recovery
What agents can and can’t do, and how to respond.
In immediate danger? Call 112. The Debt Rescuers is not an emergency service.
Agents can contact you about a genuine overdue, but they must not harass or intimidate you. If it's happening, keep a record of the calls and talk to us.
Agents must not shame you or intrude on your family's privacy. If it's happening, talk to us and we'll help you understand the right way to raise it.
No one can honestly promise that every call stops. We help you understand your rights and your next step, and we can arrange professional support if your case needs it.
No. They're separate. A complaint is about how you are being treated; your loan remains between you and your lender.
CREDIT
Credit
Reports, scores, errors and what settlement means.
No one can promise a particular score, and we won't either. We help you understand your report and build the habits that matter over time.
Not if it's accurate, and anyone who promises to delete one is not being honest with you. If an entry looks wrong, we can help.
Yes. We'll help you spot the error, raise a dispute and follow it up. A correction depends on the bureau and lender confirming the entry is wrong.
No. Checking your own report does not affect your score.
Yes, it can. A settled loan is usually reported as "Settled" rather than "Closed", and lenders tend to view it less favourably. We explain this before you decide anything.
ABOUT US & FEES
About us & fees
Our role, what it costs, and The Rebuild Plan.
Starting is free. If you'd like a private call, the fee is shared before you book. Any further service and its charges are explained in writing before you decide.
