Rescuer Assist Terms
Last updated: 27 September 2026
1What Rescuer Assist is
Rescuer Assist is an AI assistant inside the TDR client portal. It gives calm, instant, general information at any time of day, such as the rules recovery agents must follow, what to write down after a call, and what to prepare before speaking to your lender. It can also hand you over to a person on our team.
Rescuer Assist is provided by The Debt Rescuers Advisory LLP (“TDR”, “we”, “us” or “our”). These terms apply together with our Client Terms (/client-terms), Terms of Use (/terms) and Privacy Policy (/privacy-policy).
2Who can use it
Rescuer Assist is available only to clients who have been onboarded and are signed in to the client portal. It is not available on the public website.
3You are talking to an AI
Rescuer Assist is software, not a person. It is not a lawyer, a counsellor or a member of our team. Every chat screen shows that you are talking to an AI assistant.
4General information only, not legal advice
Rescuer Assist gives general information. It does not give legal, financial or tax advice, and it does not know every detail of your situation. It does not decide anything for you, and it cannot speak to your lender, a recovery agent or a court on your behalf.
For advice about your own matter, speak to your TDR case coordinator or, where one has been assigned, your panel advocate.
5Where its answers come from
Rescuer Assist answers only from a knowledge base that our team has written and reviewed. It does not search the internet for answers. If a question falls outside that knowledge base, it will say so and offer to connect you with a person.
6It can be wrong
Even with a reviewed knowledge base, AI can misunderstand a question, leave something out or give an answer that does not fit your situation. Rules and lender policies can also change.
Do not rely on Rescuer Assist alone for an important decision.
Before you act on a notice, a deadline or a payment, check with your case coordinator or advocate.
If an answer seems wrong or confusing, tell us using the feedback button, so we can correct the knowledge base.
7Handing over to a person
You can ask to speak to a person at any time by typing “talk to a person” or tapping the handover button. Rescuer Assist will also hand you over on its own when a question needs a human, such as a legal notice, a court date, or a situation that sounds urgent.
During our working hours, a member of our team picks up the conversation. Outside working hours, your request is logged and our team contacts you at the start of the next working day.
8Emergencies
Rescuer Assist is not an emergency service and cannot send help.
In immediate danger? Call 112.
If you are feeling overwhelmed or unsafe, you can call Tele-MANAS, the Government of India’s free mental health helpline, on 14416, at any time.
The emergency line is always shown on the Rescuer Assist screen.
9What not to share
Only share what is needed for your question. Never share passwords, OTPs, full card numbers, CVVs or bank PINs in a chat. If you need to share a document, upload it to your document vault instead of typing its contents into the chat.
10Acceptable use
When using Rescuer Assist, you must not:
use it for anything unlawful, or to plan or support harm to anyone;
use it to write threats, abusive messages or false complaints about any person, lender or recovery agent;
try to make it ignore its rules, reveal its instructions or give answers outside its purpose;
try to extract, copy or scrape its knowledge base or underlying systems;
share another person’s personal data without their permission; or
use it for anyone other than yourself and your own matter.
We may limit or suspend access to Rescuer Assist if these rules are broken. This does not affect your other services.
11How chats are logged and kept
Every chat is logged and linked to your client account. We use chat logs to:
let our team see the context when you are handed over;
check the quality and safety of answers and correct the knowledge base; and
keep a record of the support we have given you.
Chat logs are visible only to you and your TDR case team. They are shared with your panel advocate only with your consent. We do not use your chats to train publicly available AI models, and we do not sell them. Chats are stored securely and retained for the period set out in our Privacy Policy, after which they are deleted or anonymised. You can ask for a copy of your chats, or ask us to erase them, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
12Availability
Rescuer Assist is designed to be available 24 hours a day, but it may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, updates or technical problems. Features marked “Beta” are still being improved. If Rescuer Assist is unavailable, contact your case coordinator or use the contact details in the portal.
13Limits of our responsibility
Rescuer Assist is provided to support you, not to replace professional advice. To the extent allowed by law, TDR is not responsible for any loss that results from relying on a general answer from Rescuer Assist without checking it with your case coordinator or advocate. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.
14Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms as Rescuer Assist develops. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction, subject to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
For questions or complaints about Rescuer Assist, contact your case coordinator or our Grievance Officer at grievance@thedebtrescuers.com.
